Just as on traditional Scottish links, changing winds are a constant presence, ensuring no two rounds ever play the same. Closely mown zoysiagrass fairways and green surrounds encourage a variety of approaches, particularly along the ground, while firm, fast bentgrass greens replicate the playing conditions found on classic links courses. Golfers are invited to think their way around the course, using contours, angles, and trajectory rather than relying solely on power.
Designed by renowned golf course architect Gary Kern, Aberdeen is an 18-hole, par-72 championship links-style course unlike anything else in the St. Louis region. Rolling zoysia fairways, native grass terrain, traditional sod-wall bunkering, and two strategically placed lakes combine with sweeping views of the Meramec River bluffs to create a visually striking and strategically demanding layout.
While true seaside linksland doesn’t exist in Missouri, the Meramec River floodplain has been artfully shaped to mirror the character and strategy of Scotland’s historic courses. Enjoy the Course as It Was Meant to Be Played
Tour professionals don’t hit hybrids into par-4s—so why should you? Choose a tee box that suits your game and enjoy Aberdeen Golf Club the way it was designed to be played.
Our goal at Aberdeen is to provide an exceptional golf experience for every guest. A key part of that experience is pace of play. We strive for all groups to complete 18 holes in 4 hours and 15 minutes or less, depending on course conditions and daily traffic. Every golfer deserves a smooth, timely round, and our Player Assistants are on course to help keep play moving.
Please maintain position with the group in front of you, play ready golf, and select the appropriate tee boxes. If adjustments are needed, we ask that you cooperate with our Player Assistants and follow their guidance. Requests to improve pace of play are never personal—they’re simply meant to ensure an enjoyable day for everyone.
On busy days, singles, twosomes, and threesomes should expect to maintain the pace of the groups ahead and may not be able to play through. Aberdeen Golf Club also reserves the right to pair players together to form complete foursomes.
